Binaytara Foundation: Advocate, Educate, Innovate to Improve Healthcare

Home Hospice and Palliative Care Training Center in India

We need your help this #GivingTuesday and through the holidays! As you may know, the Binaytara Foundation recently established the first home hospice and palliative care program in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. This service helps fill a void in the state, which has little healthcare options, and a population of over 73 million. So far, Dr. Tripathi and his team have helped nearly 40 dying patients live their last few months or weeks in peace and comfort, but we know this one program isn’t enough. We want these services to expand throughout the region.

The Binaytara Foundation plans to establish a home hospice and palliative care training center in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. This center will serve as a training hub for physicians and nurses to learn these skills for free and establish new home hospice and palliative care programs in India and neighboring countries. This #GivingTuesday on Nov. 28, 2017 – the day after Cyber Monday – and through the holidays please consider making a donation on our Global Giving page at All of the money raised in this campaign will go toward establishing this center. Please consider also sharing this blog post, or the Facebook post to help it reach as many people as possible. Together, we can reach our goal of raising $15,000 so we can establish the center in early 2018.
