Binaytara Foundation: Advocate, Educate, Innovate to Improve Healthcare

Featured Volunteer: John Davis

The Binaytara Foundation works with many volunteers on our projects. Today we wanted to give a special shout-out to John Davis of Wisconsin. He has made many of our recent designs for Facebook and Twitter. John is a talented graphic designer; he also enjoys web design and art in general. We asked him a few questions about working with us at the Binaytara Foundation.

How did you find out about the Binaytara Foundation?
The website Volunteermatch, a great resource for finding nonprofits that need help not with just what I do, but pretty much anything really.
What do you like about working with the Binaytara Foundation?
The people that I’ve talked to and keep in contact with seem very nice, and appreciate the work that I do.
Plus I get to give back to the community by doing what I enjoy.
How will volunteering with the Binaytara Foundation help you in your professional career?
The whole point of the volunteering work that I’m doing was not just to give back, but also to get something in return. It was my hope to get more experience in the workforce, practicing my craft, honing my skills. Hopefully creating somethings that are good enough to go into a portfolio so that at some point I can get a paying job. So far working with the Binaytara foundation has been very fun.
You’ll be seeing more of John’s work very soon. In the meantime, click here to check out his personal portfolio.
