Calling all residents!

Are you interested in submitting your abstract to a BTF conference? We want to hear from you! Tell us about your past experiences submitting abstracts, let us know what motivates you to submit your research for presentation. Opportunities for residents and fellows to serve on the Binaytara Foundation Abstract Committee

This is an opportunity to hone your leadership skills, and to expand your network in oncology!

About the opportunity: The Binaytara Foundation would like to invite PGY 1, 2, or 3 residents from US Internal Medicine residency programs or fellows from Hematology/Oncology fellowship programs to apply for a free membership in the BTF abstract committee. The abstract committee is responsible for developing strategies & plans, and implementing those plans to extend the opportunity to present abstracts at ICAHO conferences to the maximum number of physicians in training.

As a member of the BTF abstract committee, you will be able to interact, network, and exchange ideas with other colleagues, residents, fellows, and experts in the field of hematology and oncology. In addition, you will participate in and support the BTF’s scientific review committee that plans and implements strategies related to the abstracts selected and presented at BTF meetings.

  1. Complimentary registration to BTF conferences and meetings
  2. Upon completion of your term in the committee, you will receive an acknowledgment certificate from the BTF president and scientific review committee director.
  3. Networking opportunity with experts in Hematology/Oncology & leaders in healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in planning and implementation of  abstract invitation criteria, selection process, and resident communications.
  2. Disseminate information about the opportunities to present abstract at BTF organized meetings and send out invitations to eligible residents, fellows, and others.
  3. Mentor/guide potential abstract submitters about the abstract policies and other requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must be a current resident or fellow at US internal medicine residency or Hem/Onc fellowship programs
  • Must be available for video-conferencing once a month
  • Effective communication skills and ability to use computer, email, social media channels, online video-conferencing tools and Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Calling all Nurses! We need your help!

BTF is already planning and organizing #ICAHO18! This upcoming year, we plan to have a session specifically for nurses. To do this we need your help determining what topics are of interest to nurses. If you are a nurse, please take this short survey to help us better understand your continuing education needs in the field of oncology. You don’t have to be an oncology nurse to take this survey! If you are currently practicing as a nurse, then you are more then welcome to take it!
